For the last couple of weeks in Social Studies our FIFTH GRADERS researched famous African-Americans and then presented their research on flipgrid to their classmates.

This weekend 10 students from the Math Honor Society will be participating in Moody's Mega Math Challenge. The contest gives students 14 hours to submit a 20 page solution to an extremely difficult open-ended modeling problem. $125,000 prize pool! Good luck! Go Cards!

The International Thespian Society & Woodington Players met with professional performers that discussed the audition process, acting choices, and life as a working actor. The students engaged in games and Q&A to gain a firmer understanding of show business.

Our grades 3-5 instrumental students in Washington Township have submitted over 1000 FlipGrid videos to Mr. Lipnick demonstrating their musical learning throughout the year! Way to go future musicians and Mr. Lipnick for keeping students engaged!

Ms. Daly's U.S. History students are celebrating Black History Month by researching and presenting the political, social, and economic achievements of influential Black Americans.

Fourth graders are using nonfiction text to learn about the life of African American explorer Matthew Henson. He was part of the first team to discover the North Pole.
