Electrical “Bootcamp” Training Academy is a unique, accelerated and affordable pre-apprenticeship electrical program designed to supply ambitious workers to the future of the electrical industry.
We are now accepting applications for our September 2024 classes. Although our seats are assigned on a first come, first serve basis, we encourage students who are interested to attend our weekly Open House on Tuesdays. Westwood School Counseling invites K-8 Parents to "Parent's Guide to Growth Mindset” The program provides an opportunity to learn strategies to understand, develop, and promote a growth mindset for yourself and your children. Care Plus clinicians will teach effective communication strategies and coping skills to help you support your child. They will include information related to your child’s development and how this impacts their ability to meet appropriate milestones and regulate their emotions. During this presentation, you will learn how to approach your child mindfully and decrease conflict in setting expectations and helping your child succeed.

Great assembly today for our students titled, "Not My Kid" which is centered around addiction and recovery. All district parents are welcome to attend the parent program tonight @ 6:30PM in the Hurley Theater.



High School students Michael Cordo (AP) and Moira Hanley (Honors) works of art were chosen for Fresh Perspectives 2024. These works were some of the 50 works of art selected for the Fresh Perspectives 2024 exhibit at the Morris Museum in Morristown, NJ. Both of these works of art will be displayed in their galleries and featured in an online web-based catalogue.

Middle School Workshop Series starts tomorrow. The workshops are available: to any student during ASL (dates listed on flyer). Students do not need to sign up- just drop into the school counseling office with your belongings.



A big thank you to the PSO who helped to create a new educational opportunity. Through a mini grant, Ms. Morrison was able to order Virtual Reality Glasses for her World History class. The students learned about Gothic Cathedrals in Medieval Europe and took a virtual tour!

Attention Juniors: West Point Summer Leaders Experience (SLE) is a week-long immersion into the academic, military, and social life of a West Point cadet. At SLE, you will explore West Point from all angles, including our high-tech educational facilities, team-building athletic activities, and realistic military training.

High School student Kaitlyn Park's photographic artwork was chosen to be displayed for Youth Art Month. Her work was chosen for the State Exhibition this year. Each year the Art Educators of New Jersey collaborate with Art Educators throughout the State of New Jersey to present an exhibition of student artwork celebrating Youth Art Month. Congratulations Kaitlyn!


WRSD Curriculum Council, led by our Director of Elementary Education, Mrs. Velez, met today to discuss important curriculum needs and assessment.
