November is Epilepsy Awareness Month: Grade students 5 learned about Epilepsy and Seizure First Aid from Andrea Racioppi from the Epilepsy Foundation of NJ.
Theater students have been performing their original monologues in front of their classes this week. All have been wonderful expressions of creativity!
Last week, our fifth graders participated in an informative presentation about epilepsy, led by Andrea Racioppi from Epilepsy Services. The session provided students with a deeper understanding of epilepsy, how it affects individuals, and ways to support classmates or friends who may experience seizures. It was a great opportunity to promote empathy, awareness, and inclusivity! #WeAllShine@Washington
Theothoros Douma assists at the Ramsey Water Department as part of the High School Work-Based Learning Program. He attends his job five days a week, where he learns the inner workings of the water department. Great program to support our students!
This month Mrs. Santagato visited each classroom to lead engaging discussions on bullying prevention. These sessions will help students recognize, address, and prevent bullying while promoting kindness and respect. Sixth grade students engaged in working collaboratively in groups to plan and construct spaghetti towers. It is enlightening to see the hands on approach integrated through the technology departments curriculums and how they promote students inquisitive natures and problem solving skills!
Wellness Wednesday is underway! The PE and Counseling Departments lead activities to build students' SEL Competencies, including relationship skills and self-awareness. Today, students were introduced to the Robot Game where communication was necessary to be successful.
