
2nd graders were transported back to the 1800s on their field trip last week to Museum Village. They learned what life was like then, made candles, visited an old schoolhouse, and even saw Harry The Mastodon - an elephant-like creature that lived thousands of years ago!

First graders are having so much fun exploring their books in the dark! On Fridays we have Flashlight Friday! We turn off the lights and enjoy reading our books by flashlight. Some friends even had some reading buddies to read to! #BESTatBrookside

This month Mrs. Santagato visited each classroom to read the book Stand in My Shoes and discuss the importance of empathy. Our fifth grade Peer Leaders wrote various scenarios for our younger students to practice "standing in their shoes". #WeAllShine@Washington

In preparation for the 2024 high school yearbook, Juniors Sienna Rambaldi, Julia Sisti , and Paige Galli attended the 2024 Herff Jones yearbook design clinic along with Ms. Murray and Mrs. Huber. At the design clinic, some of our high school's past covers were showcased.

Mr. Adkins’s scientists made multisensory observations of sealed black boxes to determine the contents. They developed models and discussed with their classmates. They constructed physical models in order to replicate the behaviors of the original black boxes. #BESTatBrookside




Congratulations to the winners of our first ever Math-a-Thon! These students practiced their math facts practically every day and got to the GREEN LIGHT! We are so proud of their hard work! Our school has solved 1.43 MILLION facts on Reflex Math this year! #WeAllShine@Washington
