The Westwood Regional School District has been informed that a former Middle School teacher has been arrested in connection with a relationship that he had with a former student in 2013. When the District was made aware of the allegations, the Westwood Police Department and the Division of Child Protection and Permanency were contacted to take appropriate action. The teacher subsequently resigned from the District and the resignation was reported to the State Board of Examiners. Please be aware that the Board and the administration are working closely with law enforcement as their investigation proceeds and remain committed to ensuring the health and safety of our students and staff.
