A few of our 9th grade students participating in the Academic Skills Development Workshops hosted by the guidance department. Today’s topic was, Introduction to Organizing with Mrs, Suri. Next week’s topic will be Study Skills. All 9th graders are welcome!


Universal Technical Institute (UTI) visited the high school today. Students were shown all of the programs they offer in the auto industry including automotive training, engine repair, welding, painting, motorcycle, marine repair, and many more. https://www.uti.edu/


Students in Mrs. Menken's Physics class are exploring the concept of Inertia - an object's resistance to its change in motion.


Students in Ms. Gilbert's and Mr. O'Connor's Chemistry class examine the physical properties of elements to identify some unknowns.




High School Media Specialist, Mr Richter, presented the workshops "Creating Google Web Page Play List Lessons" and "Implementing Digital Citizenships Standards in Your Library Media Program" at the NJEA Convention.

Students in Mr. Gunneson's Principles of Engineering class were testing the CO2-powered dragsters they designed and fabricated. Test runs were timed and speed was calculated. Cars were also weighed to test the impact of weight on acceleration and top speed.

November is National American Indian & Alaska Native Heritage Month! To celebrate you are invited to contribute to the High School library media center display. Cultural artifacts can be old or new: clothing, music, books, magazines, photos, flags, posters, art, etc.


Hartford Art School visited Mrs. Duffus' AP Studio and Honors class today to tell the students about the process of applying to an art school and inform them of all the opportunities available for creative individuals. Ms. Ryan also reviewed portfolios for our students.
