A very special day at Washington! We had our first outdoor assembly, celebrating our athletes in our annual Hot Shots competition. Thank you Mr. O'Melia for an amazing day and congratulations to all who participated!

JFG Kindergarteners talked about pausabilities & the importance of pausing when our brains need a break. We can take deep breaths, go for a walk or speak kindly to ourselves with positive affirmations - to name a few! The students made their own pause buttons!

Ms. Halter’s Italian classes finished up the viewing of the Sempreverde edumusical and interacted in Italian with performers from the Italian play.

First track meet of the season yesterday! Great performances by our student-athletes!

Second graders are learning strategies for solving 3 digit subtraction problems.

Third graders at Brookside are taking advantage of the sunny days and meeting outside with their book club groups. We are loving our historical fiction discussions.

Ms. Mendez is getting our students ready for our upcoming Diversity in the Arts Program! This week we filmed the Ghana song and the Chinese Fan dance.

Earth Day 2021! Congratulations to our poster winners from each grade level for celebrating and keeping our Earth healthy. Special thanks to Miss Tacchi for her assistance and organizing our event.

During ESL, students read the story The Earth Book by Todd Parr. No matter where we live, we need to be kind to our Earth!

Our Environmental Club is partnering with the Twp of Washington Green Team today in honor of Earth Day. Bring your styrofoam to the field lot today!

Signorona Halter’s students practiced their Italian while watching the virtual edumusical “Sempreverde” (Evergreen) and got to ask the actors questions about the production. Bravo!

Wellness Wednesday- we are celebrating our "aha moments"! Throughout this year JFG Staff learned A LOT. Today we think back to some of the challenges we have overcome, those light bulb moments & how proud we should be of ourselves & our students!

Thank you Mr. Lipnick for encouraging the talent of all our students!

Welcome Back Mrs. Seigle...and welcome to second grade! We are so happy you are with us!

Enjoying our friendships during snack.

The excitement at JFG has our students engaged and participating!

Sharing ideas together again!

Our second graders working super hard!

Awesome, positive presentation from @Teentruth today! Students were encouraged to “be the difference” and to know that there are adults all around them who care and are rooting for them!

The World Cultures Club held their most recent meeting discussing Chinese Culture. They used paper and glue to make Chinese paper fans and had a great time!
