In Mrs. Schama's Science class, students simulated completing specific tasks (tying shoes, putting on a shirt, wrapping a present, putting hair up, and cutting paper) with a broken arm in a sling. This helped us realize the importance of biomedical engineering in our lives.

In AP Computer Science Principles (our brand new course), there are a lot of concepts about the internet, networks, cybersecurity, etc. Tom Spelda and Andrew Phillips (Tech Department) spent about 25 minutes helping students understand how Westwood connects! They spoke about IP addresses, routing, firewalls, and a lot of great concepts to help connect what was learned in class to the real world!
