The HIgh School debate team had a successful tournament on Friday. Multiple debaters beat their personal records and won several rounds throughout the day. Additionally, a big congratulations to Emma DePeola for winning "Best Judge"! Go Cards!!!!

WIDA2023 Annual Conference took place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin this year. It is the leading conference for teachers of multilingual students in Pre-K through Grade 12, providing educators worldwide with the chance to exchange best practices and find novel methods of instruction. Dr. Matt Bellace delivered an entertaining and informative presentation to all students in grades 9-12 as part of our Red Ribbon Week celebration. Dr. Bellace focused on achieving "natural highs" and expressed the importance of leading a drug-free lifestyle. Dr. Bellace then delivered a parent version of the program in the evening which was open to all parents of students in grades 6-12.

Westwood Regional High School Assistant Principal, Michael Kenduck, presented on the use of artificial Intelligence in education at Rutgers University as part of the New Jersey Council for the Social Studies Annual Conference. Westwood Social Studies Instructors Ms. Palozzola and Mr. Nelson attended the conference. Westwood Psychology Instructor, Mrs. Wren, who serves as an At-Large Director of the NJCSS, attended the conference and helped plan the workshops for the cohort of Psychology Instructors.
