For the second year in a row, Westwood Regional Middle School has earned the distinction of "Kindness Certified School" due to our participation in the Great Kindness Challenge. Way to go students, staff, and families!


The WWRSD is in the process of formulating a student integrity policy about ChatGPT/AI. The goal of the committee is to create and foster a policy in which all students learn and demonstrate proficiency in their skills and knowledge in an honest manner. Here are our educators working together and collaborating on what that looks like across all subjects.

7th grade science students are finishing up their Ecology Unit. One of their favorite labs involved using microscopes to compare populations of Paramecium that have been growing in environments with different amounts of food.

We have had a lot of fun celebrating the Great Kindness Challenge at the middle school! Thank you to our PSO for sponsoring our Appreciation Station. We are so proud of our students for showing gratitude and for creating a beautiful kindness chain in advisory!

Class of 2025: SAT registration is now open for the March, May, and June weekend exams which are now delivered in a digital format. Students can receive free digital SAT practice through the Bluebook™ testing app. Students will be able to take a full-length digital practice test, view their results, and get linked to additional instructional materials, resources, and lessons on Official Digital SAT Prep on Khan Academy®.

A great presentation for our students on pedestrian and bike safety! We focused on the importance of wearing helmets, using crosswalks, and understanding traffic signals. #JustFocusonGrowing



Save the Date: “Parent's Guide to Growth Mindset” Please join us to learn strategies to understand, develop, and promote a growth mindset for yourself and your children. Care Plus clinicians will teach effective communication strategies and coping skills to help you support your child. During this presentation, you will learn how to approach your child mindfully and decrease conflict in setting expectations and helping your child succeed.


In 6th grade science, students have been exploring weather and climate. These photos are from a recent lab where students investigated heating and cooling of water and sand including the similarities and differences related to the heating and cooling of these earth materials.

Brookside's 4th graders launched their new reading unit by experiencing a classroom transformation into StarBOOKS! A special thank you to Westwood's Starbucks for providing the cups and bags to complete the transformation. #BESTatBrookside


Engineering students explored the world of Architecture by creating scaled models of their dream bedrooms. Students are gaining experience in measurement, scaling, documentation, and collaboration. Each room is different as we can see our students’ creativity shining through!
