Happy New Year! Thank you from 2020 until present day for our PSO funded new mats for our gym! We've been anxiously awaiting purchasing and installation from 2019-2020. Thank you Berkeley Community! (There are a few minor adjustments needed in the gym).

Good morning Berkeley Families,
Due to unforeseen circumstances with detecting water in the basement, Berkeley Elementary School will have a DELAYED OPENING for students. All students will report to school at 10:20 AM. Staff will report at regular time. We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding.

After our winter break, we are ready for 2024! Thank you Grade 5 Leaders!

Thank you Miss Maresca and Ms. Lizzi for helping Berkeley celebrate all the winter holidays!

Miss Maresca found Michael on the Mantle...and perfect timing before she leads our Holiday Sing Along in our festive sweaters.

Mrs. Houck's math friends were on the Tally Case! Students sorted and tallied all the evidence and the badged detectives solved the mystery. CASE SOLVED!
Congratulations Mrs. Zupanoska! Mrs. Z chose to have her class enjoy an extra period of gym, since they helped her narrow down the location after some clues were given to staff.

Congratulations Mrs. Binder...and enjoy your Dunkin' Donuts Gift Card....and, this just in....Miss Lizzi has added an extra gym class to the prize menu! Thank you Miss Lizzi! #theberkeleyway

More festive tunes with Mr. Douthat and Fifth Grade Saxophones...

Thank you Mr. Douthat and Fifth Grade Percussionists for helping us celebrate winter holidays!

Mrs. Lepore found Michael on the Mantle today and chose 'no office/lunch duty' .(Miss Maria may have given a clue that Michael whispered to help.)

Michael on the Mantle will need to find better hiding spots; some students in Mrs. Percarpio's class actually found him today. Mrs. Percarpio decided to give the class an extra recess instead of the daily prize.

Miss Georgiadis found Michael on the Mantle today...and will enjoy a 30 minute extended lunch.

Congratulations Mrs. Poggi...she found Michael on the Mantle and selected "No Monday Meeting".

Congratulations to Mrs. Preciado for finding Michael on the Mantle! Enjoy your 30 minute free period whenever you wish!

Congratulations Mrs. Percarpio for being the recipient of Berkeley's NJ Governor's Teacher of the Year Recognition Award! (Pictures posted were in 'real time' today when we announced it to students and staff.)

Everyone Belongs! Grade 5 students learn and understand different ways we are similar and ways we are different throughout the year. Since December is Disability Awareness Month, students learned how and why Braille is used and practiced writing their name.

Michael on the Mantle starts Monday for all Berkeley Staff!
