4th graders used sugar cubes as a model for rocks this week. They performed an experiment with this model to understand the process of weathering and how this process explains why rocks at the tops of mountains are jagged, while those at the bottom are rounded. #BESTatBrookside

Westwood School Counseling invites K-8 Parents to "Parent's Guide to Growth Mindset” The program provides an opportunity to learn strategies to understand, develop, and promote a growth mindset for yourself and your children. Care Plus clinicians will teach effective communication strategies and coping skills to help you support your child. They will include information related to your child’s development and how this impacts their ability to meet appropriate milestones and regulate their emotions. During this presentation, you will learn how to approach your child mindfully and decrease conflict in setting expectations and helping your child succeed.
