Our English Department spent time researching and discussing diverse texts to more accurately reflect the student population.


Getting to know our equipment! This “Computer Numerically Controlled” router has the capability of creating accurate components for Applied Technology projects! Quite impressive!


Our Science Department was joined by Kim Moreno from Elevate Educators. The focus of the presentation was on "How to redesign biology, chemistry, physics lessons, & 8th grade to be Inquiry Based" Included were resources for CCC's, SEP's, and differentiated instruction.


Our Math Department was joined by Denis Sheeran from Rutger discussing techniques used for student engagement at the start of class, the creation of and interaction with relevant and engaging lesson activities, & differentiating instructional approach and assessment.


Teachers Ray Piskadlo and Corrie Kemple hosted an AP Environmental and AP Biology Round Table for both Bergen and Essex counties. Some of the schools that attended were Northern Highlands Regional, Parsippany Hills, Cedar Grove, Bloomfield, and Hasbrouck Heights.

Great day for professional development! Rutgers University Professor, Jennifer Jones, shared resources with our World History teachers about the role of women from Ancient times to the French Revolution.


Mr. Miller's 8th Grade Engineering students are working on completing their Rube Goldberg group projects! Students collaborated to create a working Rube Goldberg that implemented 2 machines, 3 core technologies, & at least 3 different stages in their project!




Mr. Miller's Digital Electronics students are in the process of completing a soldering project (rolling digital clock). Students needed to solder 35 LEDs & a digital processor integrated circuit!

Amazing experience for our Design Thinking class presenting to Mars Wrigley to solve the following problem: How can Mars Wrigley expand their U.S. Portfolio, through promotion of everyday gifting, and/or new product offerings, and/or new gifting occasions and experience?




The Italian Club’s Pasta Dinner was a great success! Students, parents, and teachers ate a diverse array of pasta dishes and played trivia based on the Italian Language and Culture. Thank you Ms. Halter and Ms. Petrillo for planning a fun evening!

The Environmental Club is growing flowers to give out to teachers this spring. They were planted in November and should be ready next month. We have tulips, crocus, daffodils, and hyacinth growing in the back of room 105!


AP/Honors Studio Art students created works of art that tell a story & communicate a message.Charlotte Flynn focused on racial identity in America. She has pulled from her own experiences and observations and has experimented with ways to share her message.

Mr. Purvik's 9th grade Principles of Engineering students started building prototypes of catapults! Another truly integrative STEM project where students use Algebra and Physics to calculate Hooke's law, budget on spreadsheets, and determine material types and fasteners!
