In light of the current weather predictions and with the safety of our staff and students in mind, Westwood Regional Schools will have an early dismissal scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, January 19, 2024. The district will continue to monitor the storm’s progress throughout the night. If we feel a closure is necessary due to a change of the storm’s pattern, we will notify everyone by 6:30 a.m. The dismissal schedule is as follows: Pre-School will be dismissed at 12:05 p.m., Grades K-5 will be dismissed at 12:50 p.m., Middle School will be dismissed at 12:36 p.m., and High School students will be dismissed at 12:11 p.m.

This decision has been made to allow ample time for our families and staff to safely commute and manage the impact of this specific weather event as well as allow our Buildings & Grounds Department ample time to ensure each building is safe for staff and students. Dear Westwood Regional Parents and Staff: Due to the impending inclement weather, there will be a delayed opening tomorrow, Wednesday, January 10, 2024. As the storm arrives, significant rain, flooding and power outages are anticipated. Tomorrow’s delayed opening schedule will allow time for our families and staff to navigate the impact and travel related to this specific weather event. All schools will open 90 minutes later than their normal start times (High School – 9:25 a.m.; Middle School – 9:45 a.m.; Grades K-5 – 10:20 a.m.; and Pre-School – 10:20 a.m.) All before school clubs and Champions before care programs will be canceled.
