Thank you to our counseling team who brought back Carl the Cardinal. Students and staff added feathers to Carl with notes reminding us of what respect looks like. Thank you also to our PSO for purchasing our "RISE UP" bracelets. We have more to give away next week!

Student Data Equity Advisors from the Middle School led staff in analyzing our "District Evidence Statement", which describes the knowledge and skills assessed on the NJSLA. They worked to identify opportunities for growth and to celebrate areas of strength.

Our middle school is hosting Ed Gerety, inspirational speak/author on 9/ 13 at 7:00pm. We encourage all parents to attend. Ed will share strategies to help parents help their students be successful in middle school and beyond. Grades 6-8 will receive a presentation on 9/14.

WRMS staff participated in the Responsive Classroom PD today. Responsive Classroom is a student-centered, social and emotional learning approach to teaching and discipline. As the goal was set in K-5 last year, our 6-8 teachers will continue the learning with the set of research, and evidence-based practices designed to create safe, joyful, and engaging classrooms and school communities for both students and teachers.

We welcome you all to the upcoming 2023-2024 school year! As the Genesis Parent Portal is now open, we want clarify the Health Opt-Out form located in the Parent Portal.
For any parent who wishes to OPT-OUT of a health lesson, fill out the form and submit. If you DO NOT wish to opt-out of a lesson, please disregard the form and leave the form as UNSUBMITTED.
The Health Opt-Out form is NOT mandatory. Please visit our C&I website for further directions on how to opt-out of a health lesson.
The Middle School welcomes Nevine Sharif to our 6th Grade Math Team! She will serve as a maternity leave teacher for us, and we are excited to have her on our staff.
