The Annual 8th Grade Cardinal Marching Band Recruitment Event was a huge success.




Following our training with Building Thinking Classrooms, the Middle School Math department is already jumping on opportunities to integrate vertical whiteboards. Kudos to Mrs. Donohue and her Algebra 1 students!"

Wellness Wednesday kicked off today at WRMS. Today’s objective was to focus on active listening. Active listening is a fundamental part of communication. Students were asked to think about what active listening LOOKS like. Students shared examples with classmates and engaged in related activities.

Some of our favorite parts of our Grade 6 class trip included trying out the Infinity Climber and testing out our Egg Drop devices. What fun we had!

Westwood's Middle and High School Physical Education + School Counseling departments partnered for professional development through the Bergen County Division of Mental Health Services on October 14th. Bergen County Division of Mental Health Services presented, “It’s Real: Teens and Mental Health” Thank you Wendy S for training our trainers and sharing your story.




WWRSD Special Education Parents Advisory Group (SEPAG) is hosting their next meeting on Monday, October 14 at 6:30 PM in the High School Media Center. During the meeting, Mr. Renshaw and Dr. Gluck will deliver an overview of the Special Education process, explain the components of an IEP, and provide a "who is who" description of the Child Study Team Members. We hope to see you there.


The school counseling department is excited to bring back Timothy Shoemaker to speak about the importance of living a healthy drug-free lifestyle, respecting others, and celebrating differences. We invite middle and high school parents to attend an evening program on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Westwood Regional Senior High School, Hurley Theater at 6:30pm


Diving deep into our 6th grade September Geography Jams! Our 6th grade Social Studies classes participated in station work to examine Regional, Physical and Political maps of the US, as well as World Maps.

On Thursday, September 12th at 4:00pm, we’re hosting a virtual launch party for this resource.
